Early in the 80's there were two jazz clubs in Bodrum but then towards the end wiıth tourism booming, real jazz and quality music lovers as well as the clubs have vanished. This transformation deceived jazz clubs and hundreds of years culture such as music and cuisine in Bodrum.
Pannonica's creator and music director, renowed jazz composer and musician Ali Perret has witnessed this transformation and he thought it was about time to transform the scene again since quality music is much needed as always. That's how the idea of Pannonica came up.
With the support of musicians and music lovers , Pannonica became center of attraction quickly. Pannonica music program covers the musicians from international scene all year around. In the coming year's program, there will be workshops, lectures and film screenings as well.
The Pannonica Jazz has been named after Kathleen Annie Pannonica de Koenigswarter the famous “Jazz Baroness” and the daughter of Rothschild family. Being in love with Monk’s music and by supporting the musicians, Jazz Baroness Pannonica has been in the hot jazz scene from the 50’s on. With our greatest respect to her who has been a perfect inspiration to our dream.
Pannonica is a musician's platform that is run by a musician with respect to the creativity and music of all kind. There are special concerts taking places at Pannonica from avant garde to Be-Bob, from electronic to DJ performances.

Pannonica Jazz has 60 people capacity. It’s open from 5 pm-2 am from Wednesdays through Sundays during the winter season . During the summer season Pannonica is open between 6 pm and 2 am from Tuesdays through Sundays.
